MEC Professor and Graduate Student Receive Best Paper Award from KSME
SUNY Korea MEC Professor Changwoon Han and graduate student Mr. Seung Il Park received a 2019 best paper award from the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineering (KSME). Best paper awards are given to papers considered by the society as among the best published in the Journal of Transaction of the KSME during the year. Dr. Han and Mr. Park received the award for their paper, "Development of Field-applicable Health-Monitoring Method for Solar Cell Array". KSME is the oldest and most respected academic society in Korea with 22,000 members and boasts major contributions to the study of mechanical engineering. KSME holds annual conferences in November or December every year, to which about 2,000 people attend and nearly 1,000 papers are published. The two also received a paper award, for their paper titled “Life Prediction and Enhancement of Sensor Interconnection Reliability under High Temperature”, in last year’s KSME conference at the Society’s annual conference held from November 13 to 16 in Jeju.
