The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) at SUNY Korea proudly celebrated its annual AAS Graduation Exhibition on June 19, 2026, bringing together graduating Fashion Design students, their families, faculty, and friends for an evening of creativity, craftsmanship, and celebration.
This year's exhibition, titled "Art Deco," drew inspiration from the iconic design movement that emerged in Paris and flourished throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Known for its celebration of modernity, innovation, and glamour, Art Deco is characterized by bold geometric forms, sleek lines, luxurious materials, and timeless elegance. The theme provided a compelling creative framework for the Fashion Design Class of 2026, whose collections reflected both artistic vision and the technical excellence cultivated throughout their studies at FIT Korea.
Among the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Critic Award, judged by Asela Hur, former General Manager of Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry at CHANEL Korea. The award recognized outstanding creativity, design excellence, and execution among the graduating collections. Minchae Kim and Bokyoung Kim were selected as this year's Critic Award recipients in recognition of their exceptional designs and creative achievements.
