The Computer Science Bachelor of Science Program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), http://www.abet.org., under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Computer Science and Similarly Named Computing Programs.

CS Program Educational Objectives

The graduates of the computer science program will:

  • Establish themselves as practicing professionals or engage in advanced study.
  • Advance professionally through organized training and self-learning.
  • Pursue leadership positions globally in their profession.

CS Student Outcomes

The CS Program enables the students to be able to, by the time of graduation:

  1. 1Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
  2. 2Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
  3. 3Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
  4. 4Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgements in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
  5. 5Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program's discipline.
  6. 6Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
